There are more than thirty colleges and universities that call the Greater Kansas City Area home.  In addition, Kansas City has satellite campus access to numerous higher education institutions from across Northwest Missouri, Northeast Kansas, the state of Missouri and the nation.

Avila University, is a Catholic University sponsored by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet.  Avila offers degree programs in over 30 concentrations in a values-based community of learning providing liberal arts, professional, undergraduate and graduate education to prepare students for responsible lifelong contributions to the global community.  For more information, please see our Directory.

Bethel College is a four-year liberal arts college in south central Kansas. It is the oldest Mennonite college in North America, founded in 1887 for the advancement of postsecondary education in a Christian community. It is affiliated with Mennonite Church USA. altDonnelly is an independent, coeducational, Catholic institution founded by the Benedictine Sisters and sponsored by the Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas. The Henry W Bloch School at UMKC is the only fully accredited school of both business and public administration in the greater Kansas City area, located on a beautiful campus beside Kansas City’s famous Country Club Plaza. altKansas City Kansas Community College was founded in 1923 as part of the Public School System of Kansas City, Kansas. In 1965, the name of the College changed to Kansas City Kansas Junior College. altMetropolitan Community College is one of the premier community colleges in the country . Their five-campus college in Kansas City, Missouri, serves about 18,000 students each fall.
