Kansas City is home to a wide variety of Ethnic Celebrations that showcase the plethora of vibrant and unique cultures that call Kansas City home. Together these celebrations fform an important part of Kansas City's culture and international community. Events range from the annual Snake Saturday St Patrick's Day Parade put on by Northland Festivals to events such as the Winter Storm Pipes and Drums Concert and Competition hosted by the Midwest Highland Arts Fund.

Kansas City Global encourages residents and visitors to Kansas City to take full advantage of all of the wonderful ethnic celebrations the Kansas City Area has to offer. Find a celebration that reflects your own cultural heritage and find out how you can contribute. Better yet, make your way to as many different events as you can and experience the true richness of culture that Kansas City and the international community have to offer.

The Ethnic Enrichment Festival sponsored jointly by the Ethnic Enrichment Commission and Kansas City, MO Parks and Recreation provides a venue for our 56 countries and cultures to showcase their food, crafts, music and dance for all the visitors who come to the Festival. In 2011, the Festival is being held August 19-21.

altKansas City Irish Fest is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to promoting the culture, music, character and history of Ireland and of the Irish people who call Kansas City home. altKansas City goes green again on Thursday, March 17, 2012! Join 100,000 or so of your best friends at the Kansas City St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Westport. The parade, which was named one of America’s best St. Patrick’s Day parades by U.S. News and World Report, starts at 11:30 a.m.

The parade will begin at Broadway and Linwood (33rd St.), and go south on Broadway to 43rd Street.

altThe Snake Saturday Parade and Festival is a  spectacular Irish celebration and volunteer, enter the Parade, become a sponsor or join us for the Grand Marshal Celebration!

2012 Snake Saturday Parade will be on 10 March!





This June, join Sugar Creek and its citizens as they pay tribute to their Slavic heritage in the only way they know how - with scores of heel-kicking dancers, ivory-toned riffs from squeezebox masters, and of course, pound upon pound of juicy Kielbasa.

The Weston Irish Festival began in 2000 as a one-day event. Since then the event has grown to a three-day festival and has featured many of the greatest acts in Irish Music including, The Dublin City Ramblers, The Makem/Spain Brothers, Young Dubliners, Seven Nations, The Elders and Brigid's Cross.  Now celebrating our 12th year, we welcome you to join us for what promises to be another great weekend of all things Irish!





altWinter Storm is an annual Highland Pipes and Drums concert and workshop hosted by the Midwest Highland Arts Fund at Community Christian Church on the Country Club Plaza in Kansas City.

Winter Storm 2012 will be on 15 January following the workshop, which will be conducted 13-14 January.
